MediaShare was founded in 2009 by Mark D. Berman. Before starting MediaShare, Mark was the director of Marketing Communications for Safariland, LLC, a $250 Million company that specializes in police protection equipment. Mark has also been the VP of Sales & Marketing for Imagine Orthodontics, responsible for developing the national brand, executing marketing plans at the local level and making the phones ring.
Prior to joining Imagine, Mark owned and operated the GarageTek franchise territory from Tallahassee to Jacksonville to Palm Coast, where he earned Franchise of the Year distinction in 2003 and 2004. He was formerly Director of Corporate Marketing for World Golf Village, responsible for corporate sponsor relationships, consumer product marketing and brand development. It was there Mark had the privilege to work with sponsorship gurus at Shell Oil Company, IBM and Wachovia Bank, truly honing his skills as a sponsorship marketing innovator.
At Ideon Marketing & Services Group, Mark served as Director of Marketing, running the PGA TOUR Partners Strategic Business Unit. He began his career as a public relations account executive in Boston managing the Hard Rock Café, Boston Herald and FOX-TV accounts. Additionally, Mark spent six years in the newspaper business as promotions Director for Harte-Hanks and Times Mirror. He went into sports marketing for an interactive fantasy games company in Boston – Replica Corporation, the company that really monetized and nationalized this whole Fantasy sports thing — where he was responsible for sponsorship sales, industry-relations, consumer marketing and product development.
Originally from Boston, Mark is a die-hard fan of all things Beantown, particularly its beloved sports teams. Mark has received several awards for advertising, and he has served on the Boards of Directors for International Newspaper Marketing Association, Northeast Florida Builders Association’s Sales & Marketing Council and Builders Care, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Child Cancer Fund and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club. Mark received his MBA from Jacksonville University, his BA from Rollins College and graduated from the Williston-Northampton School.
Johanna joined the MSCG team in August of 2016 as an Account Coordinator with an emphasis on managing our clients’ social media strategies. We love Johanna because she shares the MediaShare DNA of getting the job done, whatever it takes.
Raised in Jacksonville, FL, Johanna attended the University of North Florida and graduated in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a minor in Community Leadership. In spring 2015 she interned with the Dalton Agency, specializing in Social Media. She began her career with the Susan G. Komen Foundation of North Florida in August 2015. When not making rock stars of our clients, Johanna enjoys traveling to exotic lands and learning about new cultures.
